CEED’s 24th Annual Corporate Round Table, held this past January in the UCLA Faculty Center, was attended by over 100 CEED Undergraduate and Graduate Students. This year’s outstanding Keynote Speech was presented by Ms. Lisa D. Cagnolatti, vice president of the Business Customer Division and Safety of Southern California Edison’s Customer Service Operating Unit. Fourteen Industries were represented by over 20 Engineers and Human Resource Managers. Everyone participated in an interactive Social Hour, where students were able to network with the company representatives, including several CEED Alums. Students ranging from Freshmen through Graduate School were then assigned to corporate tables (based upon major interests) in a Dinner Round and then moved to a different industry table for the Dessert Round.
CEED would like to express our deep appreciation and thanks to the Industry Representatives, from the following Corporations, who helped make the 2015 Corporate Round Table a great success: Alcoa Fastening Systems, Boeing, Chevron, Cisco, Intel, Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, Qualcomm, Raytheon, Sandia National Laboratories, Southern California Edison, and Xerox.
By the end of the event students had made several new connections, as well as touched base with former acquaintances. This in turn has led to several follow-ups resulting in interviews.
